II / The FM Logistic service offering:

The advantages that set it apart

For 40 years, the company's strategy has been to design its own tools - the FM platforms. These platforms are the company's means of production and they are designed and customised for each of our clients as quality, optimised and secure spaces.

They are characterised by:

An environmental platform architecture

All the concepts behind our engineering aim at all times to respect the environment and contribute to sustainable development:

  1. LED lighting in warehouses, reducing energy consumption by 40%.
  2. Detector-operated lighting, reducing consumption by 20%
  3. Solar hot water heating
  4. Better insulation of facades and roofs

To achieve these benefits, FM has its own team of experts well versed in the most recent environmental legislation and able to ensure the security of our clients' products stored on the platforms.

These resources also mean the company is able to keep a step ahead of changes in the legislation.

Example: Ressons. The Ressons platform is designed in compliance with the applicable standards and already incorporates all the forthcoming regulatory changes.

A multi-client platform concept

FM Logistic, thanks to its multi-client platform concept, develops teams and buildings that meet the needs of the business and its clients. This industrial approach is what ensures the lasting success of our sites located at the heart of logistics hubs.
This concept enables us to offer our clients an efficient range of winning solutions.

A multi-activity platform concept

This concept enables us to offer our clients a global service and therefore efficient pooling systems. FM has become French number 1 in co-packing because it offers this service on the same site as where the client's goods are stored and handled.
Example: the co-packing area at Château-Thierry

Its integrated information system makes it possible to provide optimum, reactive and perfectly tailored solutions.

Its role as a growth lever for FM and its clients:

POOLING

What is pooling?

Pooling is a method of organising the supply chain, whereby several manufacturers (with compatible products) undertake to deliver one or more retailers together, from the same logistics site.

In what way can pooling be a growth lever?

A pool allows manufacturers:

  1. to improve delivery frequency,
  2. to reduce stock levels,
  3. to improve on-time deliveries due to greater reactivity,
  4. to reduce the number of arrivals at the retailers',
  5. to optimise costs,
  6. to reduce CO2 emissions,

Because FM has built a successful strategy out of this concept of multi-activity, multi-client platforms, the company is able to offer its clients innovative, winning solutions.
This won it the Innovation prize in 2005 and recognition as the market leader in pooling.

III / FM Logistic's growth

The advantages that set FM Logistic apart from its competitors, its platform concept and its pooling solution, represent a genuine growth lever. A number platforms illustrate this, such as:

  1. The Château-Thierry platform, which developed the pooling solution with: Eugène Perma, Henkel, GlaxoSmithKline, Colgate-Palmolive, …
  2. The Crépy-en-Valois platform, which developed the pooling solution with: Mapa, Spontex, Bourjois, Wilkinson Sword, …
  3. The Longueil-Sainte-Marie plaform, which developed the pooling solution with: Lustucru, Heinz, Benco, Banania, Intersnack …

FM Logistic's growth is reflected in:

  1. The signing of 11 new logistics contracts: Carrefour, Ecolab, Karcher, Kraft, L’Occitane en Provence, Mapa/Spontex, Quick, Eugène Perma, Saint Gobain Solar, Syngenta and Alstom. (plus 5 others which are still confidential)
  2. Creation of a food pool of 1,000,000 pallets on the ground
  3. Development of the food and cosmetics sides of the business
  4. an extra 60,000 m²
  5. 2 platform extensions
  6. 1 new platform created: Ressons-Sur-Matz
  7. 15% growth in turnover
  8. 370 jobs created, a 15% increase in the workforce

a great outlook for 2011/2012.

IV / FM Logistic, a company of entrepreneurs:

People at the heart of the company:

As an employer of large numbers of people, FM Logistic aims to establish a coherent structure in each of its zones, enabling both the integration of trained, experienced men and women, or young, sometimes relatively unqualified employees who, thanks to internal FM Logistic training opportunities and promotion, can progress through the company.

The group therefore devotes a larger proportion of its budget to training than is required by French law, in particular through 2 training programmes, the Nursery and FM University, the latter being one of the strategic priorities for the next financial year.

Example: FM Logistic sponsors EM Strasbourg.

The values of an independent company:

As an independent company, our unifying values reflect our strong corporate personality. Our corporate culture aims to guarantee its long-term success and development.

Our project is to satisfy durably and fairly the 5 stakeholders in the company: clients, employees, shareholders, partners and the community.

Our vision is to become, through our sense of commitment and level of excellence, one of the key Supply Chain players, for the benefit of the Consumer in Europe, Asia and Brazil.

Our mission consists of optimising our clients' global supply chain by taking advantage of our position as intermediary between manufacturers and retailers.
